Saxony's Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer will be the patron of the Markneukirchen International Instrumental Competition 2021 in the categories violin and double bass. The promise of the State Chancellery emphasizes how important it is that cultural events can take place again and Saxony sets a good example here and shows how to make cultural life possible again with clever concepts.
Michael Kretschmer had already promised to to be patron for the 2020 competition, but the high-profile international competition, which was planned for May, had to be cancelled due to the corona pandemic. The organizers are therefore all the more pleased that the Prime Minister is now once again acting as patron together with Christian Thielemann.
