International Instrumental Competition Markneukirchen
- The valuation is done by a jury of distinguished soloists and pedagogues from Germany and abroad.
- The Jury will make its decisions according to Jury Regulations. No appeal will be considered against the decision of the jury. The judges decision shall be final.
- Participants are not allowed to be educated or to be advised by judges during the competition.

- musical form
- technical abilities
- artistic personality
The valuation bases on criteria which are expected of young soloists with an appropriate artistic maturity.
- After the jury discussions the participants are informed about the candidates who go into next round. This will be done by the chairperson of the jury. The announcement takes place in the order of the appearances. Points and places are not announced.
- The chairman of the jury and the judges advice left candidates who want to be informed about their achievement. During theses consultations no information about points are given. Candidates shall be informed about this possibility of advice.
- The jury may decide not to award any prizes. The awards of prizes are only decided by the jury. Prizes can but have not to be awarded.
