International Instrumental Competition Markneukirchen

- Arrival and registration will take place on Wednesday, May 4th 2011 until 5 p.m.
If an enrolled and confirmed participant is late due to justified reasons, the participant can take part in the competition with the agreement of the president, on condition that the participant arrives during the first round.
- The competition consists of three rounds and a final round with orchestra. All three rounds and the final round are open to the public.
- Rehearsals take place on Thursday, May 5th 2010; for participants in the category double bass with pianist in the music school, for participant in the category violin solo at the place of competition. Times for this rehearsals will be given out at arrival by the office of the competition. All participants and accompanists have to keep to this given times.
- The drawing of the order of the competition takes place on Thursday, May 5th 2011 at 7 p.m. in the hall of the Gymnasium Markneukirchen (grammar school).
Following the drawing of the order the times of appearance will be announced by notice in the information office (town hall, Am Rathaus 2, Markneukirchen) and at the places of the competition. All participants have to keep to this given times. All participants are obliged to inform themselves about the time of appearance.
The participants appear in the alphabetical order of their surname. This order is compulsory for all rounds and the orchestra final.
Participants and accompanists arrange times for rehearsals for all further rounds by themselves. They have to be confirmed by the information office of the competition (Am Rathaus 2, Markneukirchen).
- The competition will start on Friday, May 6th, 2011, at 9 a.m.

May 12, 2011 Double bass Final with orchestra
May 13, 2011 Violin Final with orchestra
May 14, 2011 Prize-winner’s concert
- All participants are obliged to be present at the place of appearance thirty minutes earlier. This regulation is not valid if circumstances happen for which the participant does not take responsibility.
- The competition program and the prescribed editions are binding. Later alterations will not be accepted. The participant chooses the order of the own performance within a round. A disqualification is pronounced if the program is not fulfilled or the performance is interrupted.
